Gil Garcia was raised in Santa Barbara, CA, a City with strict design regulations and a design review board that demands quality design. Prior to working in Architecture Gil worked in construction as an assistant to many trades gaining valuable experience in the field. Gil started his Architecture career in 1977 at his Father’s firm Garcia Architects. Moving to the Bay Area in 1983 Gil gained experience in a wide variety of commercial and custom residential projects. It is the combination of the early construction experience combined with an early start in Architecture with many complex projects built and delivered along the way that sets Gil apart from most Architects. Gil partnered with Wendy Teague in 1991 and started Garcia Teague Architecture + Interior Design. Wendy was raised in San Jose, CA and studied for her Interior Design degree at Sa Jose State University. She took a year to live in Florence, Italy and study Art History and Architecture there. She is a member of ASID and a licensed Certified Interior Designer. Wendy has extensive experience in both residential and commercial interior design and most of our project that have had her involvement have gone on to win design awards.
